Project Kodaikanal, India
India is located in Southeast Asia and is one of the most populated countries in the world and one of the fastest growing economies. However, it is poverty stricken and a large number of its youth is malnourished and underweight. They have had a rise in local tourism but
still struggle to make ends meet and bring home less than $2 a day, all the while
leaving their children in the care of teachers at local crèches.
By partnering with Betsey Elizabeth Trust, FIMRC was able to open up a clinic in rural Kodaikanal, also known as "The Gift of the Forest". FIMRC addresses current problems in healthcare specific to the area. FIMRC has also partnered with local crèches to help find creative solutions to help aid families in the area.
