We raised over $3,000 total for the Dominican Republic Latrine Project. Thanks to all members for making this possible, and keep up the great work! 5k committee applications are due TOMORROW (2/3) by midnight! Being on the committee allows you to have leadership and fundraising experience. Anyone can apply! Email [email protected] with any questions. Hello FIMRC! Here is what we talked about at tonight's meeting: Spring semester dues: It's $5 for returning members and $15 for new members. Miles for Medicine 5k: The application for the 5k committee is attached below. It will be due on Tuesday, February 3 by midnight. Dues MUST be paid in order for your application to be considered. All (old and new) members are welcome to apply. Either email your completed application to me or print it out and bring it when you pay dues. Here are the days and times when I'll be available for you to pay dues: Trang: 1/28 2pm-3pm 1/29 11am-1pm 1/30 12pm-1pm 2/2 10am-11am 2/3 1:30pm-2:30pm Tijana: 1/30 10am-11am 2/2 2pm-3pm If you can't make any of these times but still want to apply for the 5k committee, please email me at [email protected] ASAP. I'll either be in the Courtyard Cafe or near the aquarium in the Illini Union. The 5k committee is a good way to earn leadership experience and get to know other FIMRC members. If selected for the 5k committee, you will be involved in planning the 5k and your duties will involve fundraising, finding sponsors, selecting a route, designing the t-shirt, etc. You'll probably have meetings at least once every 2 weeks. It's a commitment so make sure you have room in your schedule before you apply. Ice skating: We will have an ice skating social sometime in the next month. Date is TBD. All members are welcome and it will be FREE! Fundraisers: Joes - We raised $282 selling wristbands last semester Fannie May - $110 so far selling chocolate bars Thus far, we've raised a total of $463 for the Gardens for OVC fundraiser. That's 15.4% of our $3,000 goal! Big thanks to everyone who participated in any way! Have a great week everyone!
